Dear brothers and sisters, it is good for us to be
here in the presence of God. He has called us to a holy calling in Jesus and
has clothed us in the righteousness of Christ.
It is difficult for us to comprehend that we are in
fact holy and righteous. Like Adam and Eve, our tendency is to run from God and
hide but the Father calls us to come to Him and abide. He assures us of His
forgiveness and calls us to grace and peace and rest.
Our calling and election is sure. This is so not
because we have any personal claim on God but because, through Jesus, our Father
has adopted us and claimed us as His own. We are the accepted in the beloved,
sons and daughters of the living God. Glory to His name.
