Knowing Beyond Knowing

In our sermon today, we saw that there is a knowing that is beyond knowing. The Apostle calls us to do something, to know something that cannot be fully known. It is too deep, too high, too wide. And yet, we can still know the love of God in Christ.
This shows us that God’s way of teaching us is beyond the ordinary means of knowledge. He reveals to us, by His Spirit, the truth of Jesus Christ and the fact of our adoption as sons and daughters of God Almighty, whereby, in the Spirit, we cry out Abba, Father!

We may not be able to fully explain how we know this to be true but we do, and our knowledge is not any the less for the fact that seemingly reasonable men cannot comprehend it. This fact is a testament of God’s kindness to us in Jesus Christ and by His Spirit. We give Him glory and thanks.
