Comfort Your Hearts

Tychicus was sent to Ephesus that he might know their affairs and that he might comfort their hearts. He was to be a paraclete to them, like the Holy Spirit, bringing comfort and exhortation.
The Lord’s Supper is a great comfort to us. It is a messenger of God sent to remind us of our place in Christ. It is God’s promise to us that the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin. It is a testament to us that we are partakers of Jesus’s body and that, like Him, we will rise from the dead, never to taste death again.
It is the realization that we who are in Christ have the present ministry of His Holy Spirit so that we can walk with Him, doing those things that please the Lord.
It is the comfort that we are in Christ and He is in us, that just as the Father and the Son are One, so, we, too, are one body in Christ.

Comfort your hearts, brothers and sisters, Jesus is with us.
