In Jesus is life. We are
sinners, born into sin and grown into sin. We have no standing of merit before
our Holy God. But He is a kind, gracious, loving and forgiving Father. He
demands nothing of us but absolute submission and obedience. And we even fail at
humbling ourselves before Him, so He sent His obedient Son to submit on our
behalf. So, we must needs only plead Jesus to cover us fully. In Him is the
life, for He is the way, the truth and the life. Confess your need of Jesus. Do
not stand on your own merits, for they will fall.
Deut.
30:15 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and
evil; 16 In that I command thee this day to love the
LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his
statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD
thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it. 17 But if thine heart turn away, so that thou
wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve
them; 18 I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall
surely perish.
This day is presented to us life and death. Mount Gerazim for
blessing and life and Mount Ebal for cursing and death. Come to Mount Gerazim.
His purpose towards us in Jesus is life. Then choose life.
